Bead Soup Blog Party - The Reveal Blog Hop Day

It is time for the Bead Soup reveal!
The Bead Soup Blog Party is hosted by the fabulous Lori Anderson

This is the beads I received from my swap-partner Cheryl Roe. The lovely handmade lampwork beads made me a bit intimidated, would I be able to make them justice? The rules of the Bead Soup Blog Party swap says that the focal and the clasp must be used but I really wanted to use as much as possible of the beads Cheryl sent me. I had a hard time getting started on my design but when I did get started it all come together quite nicely. Since I just bought some new tools I wanted to incorporate some wire work in to my bead soup. I also wanted the lampwork beads to play the big role so I didn't ad that many other beads just a few milky firepolished beads and a amazonite dagger. I didn't find a incorporate the big copper bicone beads and spacers Cheryl sent me but I am very happy with the pieces I ended up with and I am going to keep them for myself. I do have some plans for the left over beads but I didn't have the time to work on that before the reveal day - which is today!

Here are the pictures of my pieces, a necklace, a bracelet and a pair of earrings:

And here is the list of the participants, hop on and visit some more lovely bead soup reveals.

  4. I am SO sorry for being late -- today our internet provider decided to crash. My stress level is through the roof, to say the least! They're still working on it, but it's like dial-up.

I love the links you used at the top of the focal -- very cool! And everything is so delicate and pretty. The focal worked out beautifully with everything you used, and the way you organized everything.

    I hope you join again!

    Love, Lori
