Bead Soup...

As I have written earlier I am participating in the Bead Soup Blog Party (BSBP) organized by the fabulous Lori Anderson of Pretty Things Blog. My swap partner Jenny of Mrs M Makes and I take part in the third reveal date that is on April 13th. I got my bead soup from Jenny a while ago but I got the flu and have not been able to anything bead related, or anything else, for a while. Bur yesterday I managed to take some photos of my soup so I finally can show the lovely soup.

The soup consists of yummy green, purple, teal and turquoise stone beads, the focal and two toggle clasps. 

The focal is a quite large antiqued silver metal shield-like pendant with a resin center. Its really lovely and it really got my mind going with design ideas right away.  

 Jenny sent me two clasps a bigger one and a really tiny one.

I think the flat stones is some type of Agate in purple and brown, the purple strand whit smaller beads is a much more vibrant color i real life. Wonder why purple is so hard to photograph. 

She also sent me strands of matte/frosted green agate and some lovely teal/green/brown coins as well as a strand of turquoise beads.

Bead buying...

Me and some craft interested friends attended Syfestivalen in Stockholm last Saturday. Quite many Swedish bead shops were there and I got to do some serious bead shopping. I got some lovely lace , strands of glass beads and semi precious stones as well as some odds and ends. The pictures isn't the best, the camera was out of battery so I took these whit my phone.

Beads in the mailbox...

Yesterday a bubble envelope waited for me in the mailbox. I won a giveaway from Helena at BeadworkbyH and the package was from her. Inside were these lovely and colourfull beads, really summery. I already have some ideas for some of the beads... :-)

Pärlvinst...

För ett par veckor sedan så hopade jag omkring i 210 smyckesbloggar som alla deltog i Bead Soup Blog Party: Många härliga bloggar med många vackra smycken blev det under ett par dagar. Fler utav bloggarna hade givaways och i en av dem hos Glassbeadart vann jag dessa vackra lampworkpärlor som hon gjort själv. Det är svårt att fånga färgerna korrekt på bild, de ljuslila är något mer intensiva i färgen i verkligheten. Inspirationen bara väller fram med så här underbara pärlor men jag ska inte stressa med dem. Vill känna att det är det perfekta smycket för dem innan jag använder dem. Tills dess så nöjer jag mig med att titta på dem och hålla i dem då och då... :)

A couple of weeks ago I blog hopped among 210 jewelry blog that were a part of Bead Soup Blog Party. Many lovely blogs and jewelry during a couple of days. Several of the blogs had givaways, one of them were Glassbeadart . I won that giveaway and the price was these beautiful lampwork glassbeads made by herself. It is difficult to catch the true color in the pictures, the lavendar colored ar a bit mor intense in real life. The inspiration to do someting with these beads just tumbeld in but I do not want to rush it so I will wait a bit and see which designs that feel right ... :)
