AJE Earring Challenge Reveal #1 ...

I am participating in the AJE Earring Challenge. The challenge is to make one pair of earrings each week and the have to be made with an art component or bead. Every two weeks there is going to be a reveal.

Unfortunately I have to much to do this last week so I have not had the time to sit down and create yet. I have hopes I get some time later today and if so I will post a later post with that earring pair.

Last weeks earrings are the ones below. They are made with lovely lamp work beads made by Julianna Cannon of Julsbeads. I liked this way of making a pair of earrings with just the one bead suspended and not just putting it on a headpin. I am not super happy with the wrapping of thinner wire yet so I will try and refine this model a bit...

  5. Very lovely. Very clever to suspend the bead like this.
