Bead Soup Blog Party - 3rd reveal...

It is time for the third reveal of the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by the lovely Lori Andersson.

My partner this time around is Jenny from Mrs M Makes who sent me an awesome turquoise purple and green bead soup.

I really liked the pendant and the coin beads, they spoke to me as soon as I opened the package. So I knew I wanted to use them in my soup piece. I also felt like doing a really long necklace for myself. I linked up some of the coins and some Czech glass beads and linked them to an chain I doubled up.

Then I have used the pendant which is one of the two thing the rules requires us to us. The other thing is the clasp, I got tho clasps in my soup  but I decided to go with the bigger one and made a simple bracelet with the turquoise rounds included in my soup and some waxed linen tread. I am not sure if I like this bracelet or not. It feels a bit simple i real life but I have not decided what to do with it yet. Probably I will try to ad a charm or so and some bead dangles (I'll post a picture If I do so).

Well now it is time to hop on to the other blogs, you can visit Loris blog for the list or just scroll down:

  2. Gorgeous. The bracelet may be simple but it is beautiful and one of those pieces that you just need to keep touching as you wear it.

  3. Love it!!! I adore turquoise & silver, your necklace is bold & elegant & the bracelet is a classic you could wear all the time. Great JOB!!! :)))

  4. LOVE your necklace! Silver and turquoise together always pop! I think your bracelet is prefect. Sometimes simple is better. But, a little charm would add a nice bit of 'charm' to it as well! ;-) Great soup!!

  7. Great pieces! I think you should leave the bracelet as is though. I really like it and imagine it would be a nice bracelet to layer into a stack.

  8. LOVE your necklace too! It's gorgeous! What a great focal! I like simple bracelets, so I think yours is fine!

  11. Oh, what absolutely fabulous colours to work with, and you've really done them justice! I'd love to see some of the purple worked in with that nice bracelet, I bet it would really pop! Great pieces!

  12. The necklace is gorgeous, but I also like yout bracelet, simple pieces like that are easy to wear anywhere, even at work. Great job with your bead soup!

  13. I love the necklace, it's gorgeous. I think, if your want to wear the bracelet with the necklace you shouldn't change it. But if you wear it alone you could add some of the purple beads. I think it would be nice.

  14. What a lovely necklace - really pretty - love it.

  15. Fina smycken -- speciellt halsbandet blev mycket snyggt i den klassiska kombinationen silver och turkos! Enkelt och användbart utan att bli tråkigt helt enkelt. Great job!

  16. The simplicity of the necklace really makes the focal pop out, looks like an old medallion. Beautiful work

  17. The necklace is stunning. I've tried knots in my jewelry and found it to be way too difficult so I really appreciate that bracelet! Beautiful designs.

  18. Pretty necklace!!! The bracelet may be "simple," but it is very nice, too. Easy to wear with anything, and the simplicity makes it work with the layering that is so popular now.

  30. Both of your pieces seemed to fly together. I really like the design of both. The simplicity of the bracelet is great but it could use a little somethin' somethin'. I think a charm of some sort would finish it off perfectly. Of course, it's beautiful as it is also. Fabulous job overall!
